Need help getting connected ? Follow the
steps below.
1: Before you start
-
Remember: Our usernames and
passwords are CASE SENSITIVE.
-
While cards may be shared
between users, only one user can use a card at a time
-
Some laptops allow you to
enable or disable the wireless cards with an external
switch. Make sure you have not switched your wireless card
off.
-
In order to get on the
Internet with Surf2Go, you need a PC or Mac laptop or personal
digital assistant (PDA) with wireless (Wi-Fi)
connectivity. If your device doesn't have WiFi built in
then you can purchase an access card from most electronics
shops.
-
If you've added a wireless
access card, please check you've correctly installed the drivers
and the card by referring to the card's instructions. Windows XP
has built-in drivers for most wireless cards.
Email
- Some service providers will not let you
send email from another providers network. If you're
having this problem while on a Surf2Go network you are welcome
to use our email server.
- Server: mail.surf2go.com
- Username = guest@surf2go.com
- Password = surf2goguest@surf2go.com
Laptops
- Laptops that have the new Intel® Centrino™
mobile technology with integrated Wireless LAN capability will
work automatically.
- Most recent laptops are already wireless
enabled, otherwise you need an IEEE 802.11b wireless access card
(e.g. PCMCIA card). You can buy a wireless card at most PC or
electronics shops.
Simply find and attach to the network with the
'Surf2Go' SSID then enter your username and password. The SSID is
case sensitive and has no spaces.
